Hugo Martinessi, real name Hugo Martinez, is a paraguayan better known around ham circles as ZP6DER, K2DER, and apparently soon to be EA4DER. He was a trusted friend of this contest club and our trusted QSL manager and webmaster until recently, when he had a change of heart due to personal issues we still have yet to comprehend.
He recently lived in Boca Raton, Florida, and planned to reside in the Tampa Bay area. But to our surprise, he suddenly and abruptly left the United States and is currently residing in Madrid, Spain.
Since moving to Spain, he has launched an attack against all members of this club. For example, our previous website (http://kp2b.org) content was deleted. We found out he had registered the domain name to himself, so he effectively owns http://kp2b.org. We paid him to register this on our behalf and in our name, which he did not do as he should have. He is using a domain name that is our property for his personal use, and we would like to have it transferred back to the rightful owner, who is WP3A. See image to the right of the PayPal receipt showing payment of $50.00 to register kp2b.org.We paid him to do the work on our behalf. He now claims ownership of the domain.
See email telling us he has registered our domain. He states
“ya esta pagado por dos años al rato te envio los detalles de la factura y la configuracion para que lo tengas a mano”
which translates to: “it is paid for 2 years. Later I will send you the details of the bill and the configuration so you have it on hand“. And WE DO HAVE IT ON HAND!
Since he was a trusted friend, he had all our passwords to our many website tools, like Livestream, YouTube and a business website. Recently he deleted our content from http://kp2b.org. He also deleted WP3A’s YouTube channel, which was not his property, and WP3A LiveStream account, which we were able to recover. He also deleted a SDR softrock radio entry we had registered at SDR-Radio.com, which has been reconfigured as NQ2A. He attempted to change the password of a business site he effectively abandoned to his wife’s business partner, possibly to do damage or erase it’s contents. We were able to trace his IP address he had used to a Macintosh in Spain he was using, possibly his sister’s where he probably is staying.
We believe we have secured all our assets and passwords from attacks from him. We just hope he can get some mental or psychological help in Spain or Paraguay to see why his personality changed so abruptly and has turned against this contest club with such hatred and disregard. We just hope he doesn’t continue causing us more damage.
Our understanding is that he may be using the callsign EA4DER, but we still need to confirm this as of this posting’s date. You may communicate with us using the link on the menu in case you are also having problems with him.
